Challenge videos!

Last night and today I did a couple of challenges with my friends. These were the chubby bunny challenge and my friend James did the ketchup challenge. They were both a lot of fun to do and also extremely funny!:

Video making!

Hello everybody, I have been busy making videos both on my own and with friends. Yesterday I did a nails tutorial video for simple but pretty nails. This video will be uploaded on wednesday on my youtube channel and I will later post a link to it so you can watch it.

I also did the chubby bunny challenge in the evening with my friends which was so much fun and a lot of laughs ensued! It was also quite messy but was definitely worth it. This video will be uploaded onto my youtube account on friday so get ready for that!

Yesterday I also recorded and posted a video of me reading out one of the poems I have written so  check it out here:

The sun is shining again but today I have three hours of lectures and should probably do some revision this afternoon as i'm not doing anything else. Might be going to the pub this evening though so that's something to look forward to after a day of uni work.

Update on my life!

I've been very neglectful of my blog recently which makes me a little sad as it's something I would definitely like to keep going so here's a post to tell you what kinda things have been going on in my life recently. Not quite sure where to start!

I uploaded a new video the other day entitled "I love Spring Tag" and the video can be seen here:
This is the link if it fails to work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRHMoObv6q0

This video is based on a blog post my cousin did about spring in which she asked herself questions about spring and tagged me to answer those questions too. I answer the questions and respond by showing a few of my favourite spring products.

I've had a fair few nights out with my friends which were good but have left me feeling extremely tired from the lack of sleep i've had! (I know, it's my own fault :P). I've been feeling really busy at the moment with both lectures/stuff to learn and spending time with friends although this is good as i'm the type of person who likes to be kept busy as I get bored easily. I've also recently got my exam timetable and my exams are just over a month away which is a little daunting but i'm sure i'll be able to cope with it, just need to start revising properly now and actually making time for it.

On friday I had another good driving lesson and started learning manouvers like a turn in the road which was slightly scary! Then had a job interview at the students union which was the hardest interview i've ever done in my life! Glad I had the experience of it thought but I haven't heard anything about whether i've got the job. However, I have got an interview at the end of May for a restaurant near where I live at home for a summer job which should be good. Fingers crossed it goes okay as I really need to earn some money ready for next year at uni.

I've had a good weekend as i've done some more cooking (made a lovely risotto/jambalaya thing). Yesterday I had a nice shopping trip with my psychology friends and I got some more supplies of my favourite foundation (and it was on offer!). Then I went out for a bike ride with my friend who usually goes out on 20 mile bike rides and so is experienced in riding! I got about 3.5 miles out and then started to get really tired and couldn't make it up the hills we were cycling up (see picture below of me pushing my bike up the hill):

So we began to head back which was a lot more fun as it was downhill and you could go really fast (we got up to about 25mph) on a bike. Then, after some dinner I had a game of monopoly with a few friends which went on for 3 hours after which we stopped coz we were getting bored. Didn't do too well but it was a lot of fun.

Today I have a lecture soon but then i'm free later and might use the time to catch up on some tele and/or do a little bit of revision if I have the motivation (unlikely). Ironically, the lecture I have today is on motivation...

Amazing weather!

I know, I haven't blogged for a while and I feel a little bad about it but i've been busy catching up with and having a good time with all my friends. Last night I had another good night out and was awakened this morning to some absolutely gorgeous weather!

Decided to seize the day, cycle into town and visit the market stalls for some veg and a general look around. Then got back and cooked risotto for myself and some friends and then went out to explore. We managed to find a hill right in the sun and had a good chill there and lazed out in the sun. I'm loving this weather right now, it seems that summer is here for good (hopefully, at last!) which can only be a good thing.

Hope you've all been enjoying the lovely weather and not sitting inside too much xx

Pamper evening essentials!

Hello everybody! This afternoon I had a bit of a pamper and just thought that i'd show you the essentials that I use and give you a little review of them. I have pamper evenings whenever I feel like them and when I can (once or twice a week). It's a good opportunity to relax and calm down after a stressful or bad day and unwind.

Once the bath has begun to run, I add in some bath gel. I use enliven invigorating geranium and mountain pepper bath and shower gel because it has a nice soapy smell to it and you don't need much to get loads of bubbles out of it. Add in the fact that it was also 99p in my local shop.

Then I add in some bubble bar. I got mine from Lush and it's called Brightside. It gives off a lovely citrus zesty smell and it does make the bath a little orange! All you have to do is break some off and crumble it under hot running water from the tap. This bar cost me about £4 which is a little expensive but it is definitely worth it for those pampering nights. I also put in a pot of bath crystals which make it extra fruity. As it dissolves, it crackles and its like having popping candy in the bath with you! I got these from M&S and they came in a pack of five little pots and cost me only £1.50!

Before I get in the bath I also like to apply a deep cleansing face mask to clean out my pores. It's always important to clean your face and wipe off any make-up before doing this so that you don't clog up your pores even more. I usually do this with a facial wipe. I then use a headband to tie back my hair and apply my face mask. The headband ensures that you don't get any face mask in your fringe (if you have one). The face mask I use is mudd original deep cleansing mask and I got this from amazon for about £2. It has 10 applications worth in there so it lasts quite a long time.

I then get in the bath and either read a magazine or just chill until my face mask has set and I can't move my face any more (at which point I wash it off). After washing myself, I get out and moisturise my skin to ensure that it's silky soft!

New video!

Hello everybody, as I am back at uni, I have made another video which is a 'what's in my make-up bag?' where I talk about my favourite everyday make-up products. The link is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Rctd4GdgjU&feature=youtu.be

The weather's nice and sunny again so I'm wearing my new skirt (finally). Hopefully it will stay like this but we are in England so its unlikely! Tonight I am meeting up with all my friends once they are back and we're going to play games, watch movies and maybe do a bit of drinking :P Lectures start up again tomorrow which is boring but also good as I can get back into a routine again and have the catered meals again (yay!).

Enjoy your day in the sun wherever you are! xx

Back!

Apologies for the lack of blogging recently, life has been fairly boring although yesterday was great! After a spot of shopping with my cousins I went bowling with all my friends who I haven't seen for several months, was so good to have a catch up and we had a great time.

Today I made the journey back to uni and i'm so glad to be back and can't wait until everyone is back. Going to the pub with a couple of friends who are back tonight which should be good. The only bad thing is the weather at the moment, its drizzly rain and the clouds are so dark and depressing :( I just hope that it perks up again, its meant to be british summertime.

Back to lectures again on monday but at least I can get back into a routine and not be sitting around bored all day (like I was at home).

Breakfast, shop and bakeathon!

So today I went to Mcdonalds as a treat for breakfast with my brother and his friends followed by a quick look round a retail park. I then went to my auntys and helped her bake cakes for her cafe all afternoon. We managed to make 12 cakes in about 5 hours which is something to be proud of! It was so much fun and it's inspired me to get baking at home.

Once I got home, I then proceeded to cook dinner (domestic goddess, I know) which was a tasty chorizo jambalaya. Just put a carrot cake in the oven which'll hopefully turn out nice.

Now off to watch some good ol' tele and relax for a bit. It's the Great British Sewing Bee which i'm enjoying watching and then barely legal drivers. Hope everyone is enjoying easter hols!

Sun, sun, sun!!

The sun is finally out and it looks like it's actually going to stay! It's been sunny here now for a few days, long may it continue! Hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather and the easter hols. I go back to uni next weekend and i'm pretty excited about it even though i'm enjoying being at home.

Apologies for the lack of blogging recently, I haven't had very many interesting things going on recently, just revision and stuff like that which is not worth blogging about. I've also got a cold so haven't been in the mood for blogging.

Yesterday I got my hair done and had a good chat with my hairdresser, she even gave me some highlights for free! Then in the evening I watched the voice, such a good show, especially the auditions. I've finally finished reading The Diary of Anne Frank and thought it was really good but also very sad. Now onto Bridget Jones's Diary which is very different (to say the least)!

Tonight I will be pub quizzing with my friends and probably family again (as usual). That's about all I can say at the moment as nothing interesting is going on in my life!

Carvery and shopping!

Today I went out with my grandparents and cousins and we went to Toby Carvery for lunch where we ate so much, we felt like we we're gonna explode! The food there is so nice and its so good to have a massive roast dinner followed by eton mess :P Then I went out shopping with my cousins and got some nice make-up and we vlogged our journey home which will be uploaded in due course.

Really beginning to miss uni now, just wanna get back there and see everyone again and be able to do what I want. I am however looking forward to bowling with my home friends next friday, will be great to see everyone again before I go back that weekend.

Tomorrow I have a driving lesson but that's about it. I spose it may be a good idea to do some more revision at some point but that requires motivation to do it which I don't have much of at the moment!

Monday 1 April 2013

I'm a book-a-holic!

Yesterday I started reading the Diary of Anne Frank as I've always been meaning to read it but never got round to starting it. Already a quarter of the way through and it's really good, weird to think that it was actually someone's diary and what I am reading all happened. I remember seeing the students reading it in The Freedom Writers and wanted to see what the holocaust was like from a Jewish person's perspective.

Talking about diaries, I went shopping today and couldn't resist picking up the book of Bridget Jones's Diary for £1. I absolutely love the film and thought that it's about time I actually read the book as it will most likely be better than the film. I love getting into a good book and being completely absorbed into another world, time or place (especially if I have a bar of chocolate beside me). Joining the book club at uni has got me back into reading again and it looks like i've got a lot of reading to do over the summer as I also picked up P.S. I love you for 50p (thank god for charity shops!). This is another story that I've seen the film of but never got round to reading the book.

Apologies if i'm starting to sound like a geek now, I tend to do that sometimes. My favourite book series are definitely The Hunger Games as they are so different from other books and I love adventure books.

Now, onto another subject! Had a nice gathering with my friends last night and it was so good to see them again, looking forward to a holiday with some of them in the summer, can't wait to get away and relax after my exams. Hopefully the weather will have picked up by then! At least it's getting a bit sunnier now and the clocks changing has brought another hour of daylight.

Hope everybody is enjoying the last bank holiday of easter xxx
